Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Genome Engineer to join our innovative research and development team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement genome editing strategies to support our mission of advancing therapeutic and research applications to eradicate genetic disease.
Responsibilities
Design and execute genome editing experiments using CRISPR/Cas and other gene-editing technologies.
Develop and optimize protocols for gene editing, including vector design, delivery methods, and validation assays.
Analyze genomic data using bioinformatics tools to assess editing efficiency and off-target effects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including molecular biologists, bioinformaticians, and clinical researchers, to advance project goals.
Stay current with advancements in genome engineering and contribute to innovative solutions for complex genetic challenges.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications to communicate findings internally and externally.
Ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory, and safety guidelines in all research activities.
Qualifications
Ph.D degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience with precise genome editing technologies like CRISPR, transposases, recombinases and large cargo integrations
Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including PCR, cloning, and sequencing.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A publication record featuring gene editing tools.
Preferred Skills
Experience with viral or non-viral gene delivery systems.
Knowledge of high-throughput screening methods for gene editing.
Familiarity with cell culture systems, including primary cells and iPSCs.
Experience with bioinformatics tools for genomic analysis.
